What was announced?
The August 18 notice describes an optional pilot through the end of 2026. Eligible B-visa applicants at selected posts may pay an additional $750 after regular booking for an interview within 10 business days, subject to availability.
GBP perspective
An earlier interview does not guarantee faster processing or approval. Listed posts cover Canada, Mexico, Bogota, Guatemala City, San Jose and Tegucigalpa; Seoul is not listed.
What to check now
Check the participating post and official booking system. The additional fee is non-refundable. Eligibility to apply in another country is a separate issue.
