What was announced?
Guidance effective October 23 applies to paper filings received from that date. Deadlines expressed in days may extend to the next business day when the final day falls on a weekend or federal holiday. Eligibility deadlines tied to birthdays do not receive that extension. Electronic filings do not receive an automatic weekend extension.
